Aztec UK offers a powder-coating service for fasteners – screws and rivets – of varying sizes.

Powder coating is a type of painting that uses dry, free-flowing powder. Applied electrostatically, the powder is then cured under heat to harden and create the protective and compact layer over the fastener’s surface.

As well as looking aesthetically pleasing, powder coating vastly improves the corrosion resistance of fastenings, especially on carbon steel zinc-plated surfaces. Powder produces a thicker layer of paint than conventional liquid coatings and has the added bonus of not running or sagging, as can happen with a liquid.

Dry powder provides UV, abrasion, and impact resistance as well as a long-lasting colour and gloss stability. This type of coating remains flexible after hardening and can therefore absorb expansion of the surface beneath it, allowing for bending and twisting without suffering.

We can use our on-site machines to paint a wide variety of fasteners, including but not limited to hex-head screws, flange rivets, 4mm rivets, oval- and low-profile- head screws, and TORX® screws.

We can powder coat in a vast range of colours. A wide variety of RAL and British Standard paints are available to us in gloss, satin, and matt finishes. We can also order in special RAL designs, metallic finishes, and textured paints.
